Microsoft is set to end it support for One Care and launch Microsoft Security Essentials, which due to its free status and low system recource footprint will prove popular with alot of people. Probably the AVG and AntiVir users will be the most likely to switch but I think most users will eventually try it at some stage and if it is even half as good as its competitors the fact that its free and will most likely be offered as an additional update or already on new PC’s will see it becoming a big player.
